Proustite is a Silver and Ruby mineral found in hydrothermal veins, also in the supergene zone. Proustite is a minor ore of silver and a rare gemstone known as 'ruby silver'. Proustite is closely related to Pyrargyrite.
Proustite is a Silver Sulfosalt mineral with a hexagonal crystal system and a hardness of 2 to 2.5. Its color is deep scarlet, which inspired it old name, Ruby Silver. The best specimens are from Germany.
Proustite activates one’s root chakra, linking it with the Earthstar chakra below the feet and beyond that into the depths of the earth.
